County Rds Open to ORVs: Yes
Forest Rds Open to ORVs: No
ORV Route, open to all ORVs. New in 2013. Located in Emmet County which allows ORVs on some of their roads. This Route is somewhat unique in the extensive use of county and paved roads. Most of the Route is also shared with snowmobile trail. The terrain varies from flat at the north to rolling with a few surprising hills further south. It's mostly wooded with northern hardwoods as the primary cover. A parking area is planned, but not in place. Gas is available in Cross Village, less than 1 mile from the Route. There are 37 miles total, 7 miles pavement, 7 miles gravel, rest is dirt or two track. 7 miles are on forest roads, the rest is county road.
Note the local ordinance for ORVs applies to the county road sections which restricts travel to 25MPH, requires head and tail lights and requires operators to be over 12 and if under 16, under adult supervision.
